Which of the following is a type of wave that is both mechanical and longitudinal?
Explanation
Sound waves need a material such as air to travel through, so they are mechanical. The particles vibrate back and forth along the direction of travel, so they are longitudinal.
Light waves need no medium. Water waves are mainly transverse.
