As of August 2026, per EBSU’s official admission portal, you need at least 150 in UTME to apply, whether EBSU was your first choice or you’re changing your choice to EBSU. The application fee is ₦2,000, non-refundable.

How EBSU scores your screening

EBSU blends your JAMB and post-UTME scores 50:50 into one aggregate out of 100 — divide your JAMB score by 8, divide your post-UTME score by 2, then add the two, per admission-guide sites that track EBSU’s published formula.

Worked example: a candidate with 240 in JAMB and 80 in the EBSU screening gets 240 ÷ 8 = 30, plus 80 ÷ 2 = 40, for an aggregate of 70. Every extra mark you pick up in the screening pulls that second number, and your aggregate, up with it.

What test day usually looks like

Admission-prep sites that track EBSU’s screening consistently report a CBT of around 50 questions in 60 minutes, drawn from your JAMB subject combination — EBSU’s own portal has not published an exact question count for the 2026/2027 cycle at the time of writing. The 2025/2026 screening ran 22-26 August 2025; the 2026/2027 window is billed for August-October 2026, with exact dates still to be announced on ebsu.edu.ng.
