Abia State University does not run a written post-UTME test for the 2026/2027 admission cycle. Screening is fully online and credential-based — you upload your JAMB result slip and O’Level results to the ABSU portal, and ranking is done from those documents alone, per the university’s admission announcements as of August 2026. How the ABSU 2026/2027 screening actually works

  • No CBT or physical aptitude test — candidates upload their UTME result slip and O’Level results directly to the ABSU portal and the JAMB portal, as of August 2026, per the university’s screening announcement.
  • Registration is done online at the ABSU portal for a fee of ₦2,000, excluding bank charges, as of August 2026.
  • The 2026/2027 application window was reported to close on Friday, 21 August 2026, at 11:59pm — always confirm the live date on the portal since deadlines sometimes shift.
  • Minimum JAMB score to qualify for screening was reported as low as 150 by some sources and 160 by others for the same cycle — this conflict means you should check your exact cut-off on the ABSU portal rather than rely on any single figure.

Because ABSU ranks candidates on JAMB score plus O’Level credits rather than a separate written test, there is no official post-UTME “aggregate formula” to publish for this cycle — any calculator claiming otherwise is describing an older screening model, not the current credential-based one.

Why practise anyway

Many ABSU-bound candidates still sit post-UTME or scholarship screenings at other institutions in the same admission season, and those exams lean on the same English, quantitative reasoning and general-paper style questions found here. Working through this pack builds the speed and accuracy those tests demand, even though ABSU itself currently screens by document upload.
