Hausa 2023 Q20: Gano jimla korau a wad’annan.
Source: JAMB · 2023
Gano jimla korau a wad’annan.
Explanation
A korau sentence is a prohibition. It tells someone not to do something.
“Kar ka zo gobe” means “Do not come tomorrow”. The word “kar” (do not) marks the prohibition.
“Ta iya kitso” (she can plait hair), “Ta yi zugum” (she sulked) and “Ya zo jiya” (he came yesterday) are plain statements with no “kar”.
