Nigerian farmers often lose crops after harvest because there are not enough storage facilities. Grains rot and fruits spoil before reaching markets.

Nigeria has plenty of farm labor. The equatorial forest is only in a small southern part of the country.

Better silos and warehouses would help farmers save more of their harvest.
