Few number of trees is characteristic of the Savanna zones of Nigeria because

  1. there is too much sunlight
  2. there is limited amount of rainfall ✓
  3. they are exposed to grazing animals
  4. they are covered by mountains
Explanation

The Savanna has a long dry season and limited rainfall. Trees need plenty of water, so only a few tough, scattered ones survive among the grass.

Plenty of sunshine alone does not stop trees growing.
