Which of the following is the correct sequence of movement of urea during urine formation?

  1. Glomerulus → Bowman capsule → convoluted tubule → Henle loop → collecting tubule ✓
  2. Glomerulus→Henle loop→convoluted tubule →collecting tubule→Bowman capsule
  3. Glomerulus→Bowman capsule →Henle loop →convoluted tubule → collecting tubule
  4. Glomerulus→ Bowman capsule →collecting tubule→Henle loop
Explanation

Blood is filtered at the glomerulus, and the filtrate, which contains urea, enters the Bowman capsule. It then flows along the convoluted tubule, through the loop of Henle, and into the collecting tubule.

The other options mix up this order, for example by sending urea back to the Bowman capsule at the end.
