What the UNIUYO screening looks like

As of August 2026, per the University of Uyo’s official admission notice, the 2026/2027 screening runs from 21 August to 9 September 2026, holds physically on campus, and costs ₦2,000 to register. Only candidates who chose UNIUYO as first choice in JAMB and scored at least 150 qualify to sit it. Questions are drawn from your JAMB subject combination, so English and Mathematics feature for most candidates alongside your other UTME subjects.

UNIUYO weighs your JAMB result and your Post UTME score equally when ranking candidates for admission — a 50:50 split. The common formula is JAMB score ÷ 8, plus Post UTME score ÷ 2. A candidate who scored 240 in JAMB and 70 in the Post UTME would get 240 ÷ 8 = 30, plus 70 ÷ 2 = 35, for an aggregate of 65. Practising the question style helps you push that second half of the sum higher.

• Eligibility: UNIUYO as first JAMB choice, minimum UTME score of 150
• Registration fee: ₦2,000, closes on the date UNIUYO publishes each cycle
• Aggregate weighting: 50% JAMB, 50% Post UTME (JAMB ÷ 8 + Post UTME ÷ 2)
