What the screening looks like

As of August 2026, per the University of Ilorin’s official admission portal (unilorin.edu.ng), the 2026/2027 pre-admission screening exercise runs across three days — Thursday 13 to Saturday 15 August 2026 — after a registration window that closed 12 July 2026. Candidates print their exam slips before sitting the test at an assigned CBT centre.

The test draws questions from your UTME subject combination. Several Nigerian admission-prep sources (Campus Times NG, SmartJamb) that track UNILORIN screening cycles report the CBT typically runs around 60 objective questions, scored out of 100 marks, completed within a set time at the centre. Treat the exact question count and duration as indicative until UNILORIN confirms them on your printed exam slip.

How your aggregate is worked out

UNILORIN’s most commonly cited formula, per Campus Times NG’s admission guide, divides your UTME score by 8 and your post-UTME score by 2, then adds the two: Aggregate = (UTME ÷ 8) + (Post-UTME ÷ 2). Worked example: a UTME score of 250 gives 250 ÷ 8 = 31.25, and a post-UTME score of 70 gives 70 ÷ 2 = 35 — total aggregate 66.25 out of 100. Some sources also reference a 50:30:20 weighting (UTME 50%, post-UTME 30%, O’level 20%); confirm which applies to your session on the official portal, since guides can lag behind policy updates.
