What the screening actually covers

As of August 2026, per IMSU’s screening announcements for the 2026/2027 session, the CBT pulls 50 objective questions from your JAMB subject combination, plus English Language and General Paper for every candidate regardless of course. Only UTME candidates who put IMSU as first choice and scored at least 160 in the 2026 UTME are eligible to sit it; the 2026/2027 exercise itself ran from Thursday 23 to Tuesday 28 July 2026 on campus, with a screening fee of ₦2,000.

How your score counts

IMSU combines your JAMB score and post-UTME score into an aggregate for admission, but the exact weighting is not consistently confirmed across official channels — different admission cycles and course-specific notices have cited different splits. Rather than guess a formula that may not hold for your course, treat the post-UTME score itself as the target: the higher you score on the 50 questions, the stronger your admission chances, whatever the final weighting turns out to be.

IMSU announces screening dates, portal access, and results through its official admissions portal (imsuonline.edu.ng) and its 2026/2027 Post-UTME/DE application page — check there directly rather than relying on third-party dates once your session’s cycle opens.
