ESUT does not run a written post-UTME test right now — admission is decided by a JAMB-plus-O’level aggregate, with screening done fully online. As of August 2026, per ESUT’s official announcement (quoted across multiple admission portals), “no candidate is required to appear for a physical screening or aptitude test.” This pack still helps: it drills the English, quantitative reasoning and general-knowledge skills every post-UTME candidate is tested on across Nigerian universities, and it doubles as revision if ESUT brings back a written screening in a later cycle.

How ESUT actually ranks candidates

ESUT combines your JAMB UTME score with your O’level grades into one aggregate out of 100, as of August 2026 per ESUT’s admission guidance. JAMB score is divided by 8 (so a 400 becomes 50 points), and each O’level credit is scored on a points scale — A1 = 10, B2 = 9, B3 = 8, C4 = 7, C5 = 6, C6 = 5, summed across your best five subjects.

Worked example: a candidate with a JAMB score of 220 gets 220 ÷ 8 = 27.5 points. Five credits graded B3, B3, B2, C4, C4 add 8 + 8 + 9 + 7 + 7 = 39 points. Aggregate = 27.5 + 39 = 66.5 out of 100. Course cut-offs then rank candidates against that number — reported roughly 240+ for Medicine, Nursing and Law down to 160+ for less competitive programmes.

What to actually prepare

Because O’level grades carry real weight in that formula, strong WAEC/NECO results matter as much as your JAMB score. Screening registration for the 2026/2027 cycle closes 15 August 2026, costs ₦2,000, and runs entirely through ESUT’s own portal — never a third-party site. This pack is a general aptitude and reasoning drill, not leaked ESUT questions (there is no ESUT test to leak); use it to stay sharp on the English and maths sections that shape performance across the wider admission process.
