NNPC joint-venture scholarships (Chevron/Agbami, TotalEnergies, SNEPCo/Shell, Seplat) all follow the same path: a free online application, a shortlist, then a computer-based aptitude test. The test — where one is held — covers quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, logic and current affairs, and Dragnet Solutions is the vendor most cycles use.

Who can apply

The standard conditions repeat across schemes, per the Scholastica scheme pages (checked August 2026):

  • Full-time 200-level undergraduate in an accredited Nigerian university
  • CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5.0 scale
  • Five to six O’level credits, including English and Mathematics, in one sitting
  • A listed course of study — mostly engineering, sciences, medicine, law and business courses

The NNPC/Chevron scheme also runs a special-needs category for blind and visually impaired candidates with a lower 2.5 CGPA floor and five O’level credits, with medical certification required.

The schemes at a glance

Scheme Where you apply Recent cycle detail (as of Aug 2026)
NNPC/Chevron (incl. Agbami) candidate.scholastica.ng 2026 applications closed 30 June 2026
NNPC/TotalEnergies Scholastica portal 2026 deadline reported as 31 January 2026
NNPC/SNEPCo (Shell) candidate.scholastica.ng Open to 200-level, 3.5 CGPA, public universities
Seplat register.seplatscholarship.com Runs its own portal, not Scholastica
NDDC NDDC portal For Niger Delta states’ indigenes
NIIT niit.com/nigeria Run directly by NIIT

Application is always free. Any site or agent charging a fee to “process” an NNPC scholarship application is a scam.

What the CBT looks like

Shortlisted candidates get an email or SMS invite to a CBT at nationwide centres, or online. The test mixes quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, logical thinking and current affairs. The sponsors do not publish exact question counts or timing, and some recent Agbami cycles skipped the CBT entirely and selected on academic records alone — so prepare for the test, but do not panic if no invite comes.

How to prepare

The question styles repeat year to year: percentage and ratio arithmetic, number series, word meaning and comprehension, and Nigerian current affairs. Our practice packs drill exactly this format, per scheme:

Each pack is ₦2,000 with instant download after Paystack payment, and each product page shows free sample questions first.
