In “O ku,” the verb “ku” (to die) does not need an object. The action is complete by itself. Verbs that do not need objects are called intransitive verbs.

Some verbs need objects to make sense, like “eat” needs to say what you eat. But “die” is complete alone. The person just dies, period.

Knowing transitive and intransitive verbs helps you build correct sentences. Not all verbs need objects to complete their meaning.
