Nínú àkọto Yorùbá ode oní, ‘Oshogbo’ yóò yí padà di

Modern Yoruba spelling does not use the English “sh”. The “sh” sound is written with the letter ṣ. The name is properly written Ọ̀ṣogbo, and in plain form it is Osogbo.

“Òssogbo”, “Óshe ogbo” and “Osh ogbo” keep “sh” or double letters, or break the name into two words. None of these follows the modern rules.
