Which of the following atomic models is based on the idea that the electrons in an atom form a cloud of probability around the nucleus?
Explanation
The wave mechanical (quantum) model treats electrons as waves. It does not give them fixed paths. It describes only the probability of finding an electron in a region, called an orbital or electron cloud.
Bohr’s model used fixed circular orbits, so it does not fit.
