Who is considered as the founder of Nigerian Nationalism ?

Herbert Macaulay founded Nigerian nationalism through his political activism in the early 1900s. He established the first Nigerian political party and fought against British colonial rule.

Macaulay used newspapers and political organizations to unite Nigerians against colonialism. His work laid the foundation for Nigeria’s eventual independence movement.

While the other leaders were important, Macaulay started Nigerian nationalism decades before them. He is recognized as the grandfather of Nigerian nationalism for his pioneering work.
