Which type of rock are quartzite, schist and marble

Quartzite, schist and marble are all metamorphic rocks. They formed when other rocks changed under heat and pressure.

Quartzite comes from sandstone. Marble comes from limestone. Schist comes from mudstone or shale.

“Metamorphic” means changed form. These rocks transformed deep underground.
