Hausa verbs change form based on tense, aspect, and subject. The verb stem remains constant while prefixes and suffixes indicate when and how the action occurs.

Examples with “tafi” (to go): “Yana tafiya” (He is going – continuous), “Ya tafi” (He went – completed), “Zai tafi” (He will go – future). Subject pronouns attach to verb markers.

Aspect markers: “na/ya/ta” for completed action, “yana/tana” for continuous, “za” for future intention. Mastering these is essential for fluent Hausa communication.
