Explanation

The English says “greeted” which is past tense. They already did it. In Yoruba, the simple past form is “Wọ́n kí i gán-ún.” This shows completed action.

The other options use future or possibility words. “Yóò” means will, “lè” means might, “féé” means want to. These are not past tense.

Matching the correct tense is important in translation. Make sure your Yoruba verb shows the same time as the English verb.
