Explanation

Samuel Ajayi Crowther first preached in Yoruba language in Sierra Leone. He was a Yoruba missionary and scholar.

The other names belong to writers or different missionaries. Crowther specifically pioneered Yoruba preaching abroad.

Crowther later became the first African Anglican bishop. His language work helped spread Christianity among Yoruba speakers.
