Explanation

Zuhr prayer has four rakats and is performed after the sun passes its zenith at midday. It is the second of the five daily prayers.

The first two rakats are recited silently by the imam, and the last two are also silent. This helps maintain concentration during the busy part of the day.

Asr prayer also has four rakats, while Fajr has two, Maghrib has three, and Isha has four.
