Explanation

Washing arms up to the elbows during wudu is sunnah, following the practice of Prophet Muhammad. While highly recommended, missing it does not invalidate your wudu.

The fard parts of wudu include washing the face, arms, wiping the head, and washing the feet. These are mandatory and must be done.

Following the sunnah actions earns extra reward and shows love for the Prophet’s example.
