Explanation

“Al-Bayt” in Suratul Quraysh refers to the Kaaba in Makkah. It means “the House” and is the holiest site in Islam.

Muslims face the Kaaba during prayer from anywhere in the world. It was built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail.

The Quraysh were guardians of this sacred house before Islam.
