Explanation
During ihram, the state of consecration for Hajj, pilgrims can bathe and wash themselves. Staying clean is always allowed and encouraged in Islam.
However, hunting animals, cutting hair or nails, and sexual relations are all forbidden during ihram. Pilgrims also cannot use perfume or wear certain types of clothing.
These restrictions remind pilgrims to focus on worship and keep their hearts pure during this sacred time.
