Explanation

Salat al-Istisqa is the rain prayer performed when there is drought and lack of water. The community gathers to ask Allah to send rain.

This prayer consists of two rakats followed by the imam giving a sermon asking for Allah’s mercy. People make sincere dua for rain and relief.

It shows that Muslims turn to Allah in times of need, trusting that He controls the weather and all provisions.
