Explanation

Hadith is mainly classified into two groups: Sahih (authentic) and Daif (weak). This is the basic classification.

Sahih hadith have reliable chains of narrators. Daif hadith have some weakness in their transmission.

Other categories like Hasan (good) exist but the main division is two.
