Linen is a natural fiber that works well in harmattan. While it seems contradictory, linen’s breathable nature helps regulate body temperature during harmattan’s cold dry conditions.

Linen can be woven thick for warmth while still allowing skin to breathe. This prevents overheating when moving between cold outdoor and warmer indoor environments.

Cotton is too thin. Rayon is semi-synthetic. Silk is delicate. Linen provides the best balance of warmth and breathability for harmattan weather.
