Andy Warhol pioneered Pop Art in the 1960s. He used images of consumer products like soup cans. His work celebrated mass production and commercial culture.

Lichtenstein also did Pop Art but with comic book styles. Pollock was Abstract Expressionist. Warhol made everyday objects into fine art.

He used silkscreen printing to repeat images. This technique mimicked mass production. Warhol blurred lines between art and advertising.
