Explanation

Jeremiah prophesied about a new covenant that God would make with His people. This covenant would be written on their hearts, not on stone tablets like the old one.

He promised that God would forgive their sins and give them a personal relationship with Him. Everyone would know God directly, from the least to the greatest.

This prophecy gives hope and points forward to what Jesus would accomplish through His death.
