Explanation

Jesus asked His disciples who people said He was while they were in Caesarea Philippi. Peter declared, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus blessed Peter for this confession and said God the Father had revealed this truth to him. This was a turning point in Jesus’ ministry.
