Explanation

After rising from the dead, Jesus ate fish in front of His disciples to prove He was not a ghost. Ghosts do not have physical bodies that can eat food.

The disciples were frightened and confused when Jesus appeared. By eating real food, He showed them He had a real body, though it was now glorified and eternal.

This physical proof helped the disciples believe and understand the resurrection.
