Explanation

Stage directions guide actors and directors on movement, tone, and staging. Soliloquy reveals a characters inner thoughts directly to audience. Aside is a brief comment heard by audience but not other characters.

Drama is written to be performed, not just read. The playwrights words come alive through actors interpretation, staging, lighting, and sound. Reading drama requires imagining the performance.
