Explanation

The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) contains Jesus core teachings. The Beatitudes describe character traits God blesses: poor in spirit, meek, merciful, pure in heart.

Jesus taught about inner righteousness, not just outward behavior. Anger equals murder in the heart; lust equals adultery. He raised the moral standard beyond rule-following.

Key teachings include: loving enemies, praying privately, not worrying, judging others, and building life on His words (wise man building on rock).
