Explanation

Wudu (ablution) is required before prayer. Obligatory parts: washing face, washing arms to elbows, wiping head, washing feet to ankles. Must be done in order.

Nullifiers of wudu: using toilet, passing gas, deep sleep, bleeding, vomiting, losing consciousness. After these, wudu must be repeated before prayer.

Recommended acts: saying Bismillah, washing hands first, rinsing mouth and nose, wiping ears, washing each part three times, making dua after completion.
