Explanation

Kingdom is the largest and most inclusive level in the Linnaean classification system. It groups together millions of different organisms that share basic characteristics. The five main kingdoms are animals, plants, fungi, protists, and bacteria.

The classification system works like a pyramid from broad to specific categories. It goes from kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, to species. Kingdom sits at the top as the broadest category that includes the most organisms.

For example, the animal kingdom includes everything from tiny insects to massive whales. All these organisms share certain features like being multicellular and getting food by eating. Each lower level like phylum and class divides organisms into smaller, more specific groups.
