Explanation

The testis is the male organ that produces sperm cells and testosterone hormone. Males have two testes located in a sac called the scrotum outside the body. Sperm are the male sex cells needed for reproduction.

Testes must stay slightly cooler than body temperature to make healthy sperm. That is why they hang outside the body cavity. The testis produces millions of sperm cells every day starting at puberty.

Ovary, uterus, and fallopian tubes are all female reproductive organs. The ovary makes egg cells, the uterus holds a developing baby, and fallopian tubes connect ovaries to the uterus. Only males have testes.
